The Hard Part is The Easy Part

Ever notice how thinking about doing the thing is way harder than actually doing the thing?

The hard part is actually the easy part.

I think we get it backwards most of the time.

Think about those moments when you had an idea — maybe a project, a business idea, or even something simple like cleaning the garage.(Except raking and picking up leaves... that’s never fun for me.)

Once you start, it’s almost never as hard as you made it out to be in your head.
In fact, once you’re moving, it often feels kind of… easy. Maybe even fun.

That’s the part we forget.
The doing is rarely the problem.

The thinking about doing it?
That’s where the gymnastics happen.
That’s where the stories, doubts, and “what ifs” start swirling.

If you’ve ever been on the subway in London, you’ve heard the voice echo through the station:

“Mind the gap.”

It’s a reminder to watch the space between the platform and the train.
Miss it, and you might fall in.

Same goes for your mind.
“Mind the minding.”

Watch the space between you and your thoughts.
That’s the real practice.

The doing?
That’s a piece of cake. 🍰
